Live streaming has taken over South Africa by storm. Since South Africa’s lockdown announcement by the president everyone has had to resort to staying at home to help reduce and control the spread of Covid-19 better known as Corona Virus.

During this period DJ’s and Live Performers have taken to their social media platforms broadcasting live video feed of them DJing. Shimza has to be the first person mentioned as someone who sparked the idea in conceptualizing his live video stream as an online party called the “Lock Down Party”. He invited the likes of Darque, DJ Maphorisa & Kabza The Small, DJ Zinhle, Lamiez Holworthy, Black Motion, IamPH and more. This 6 hour show now broadcasts each Friday and Saturday evening on DSTV Channel O 320.
